It has always been the policy of the Society to distribute information on the history of O'Fallon freely to all. To that end, we offer the selection of online resources listed below. If you find information that is of interest to you, please feel free to copy it. Our one request, out of respect for the hard work of those who compiled it, is that you cite the O'Fallon Historical Society, Inc. as the source.

    Index of Marriages and Deaths

An index to marriage and death notices from the O'Fallon Progress from 1895 to the recent past, compiled by Doris Johnson. Kudos to Doris for all her dedicated work, as well as to Carol Souza, Ruth Grandcolas, Dorothy Faulk, and Jean Marshall for typing their fingers to the bone to make this index available in electronic form and Betty Lehman and Barbara Nute, our eagle-eye proofreaders! Our thanks, also, to the O'Fallon Public Library, for allowing us liberal access to the index cards for transcription.

    O'Fallon Businesses

In 1997, Doris Johnson, of the O'Fallon Historical Society, published the first of three scrapbooks on the businesses of O'Fallon. Included here are excerpts from Book I. We will continue to add to this section over time, so please be sure to stop by again.

    O'Fallon Progress Social Articles

Cindy Davis, a frequent visitor to the O'Fallon Historical Society Museum, has been busy transcribing the old social columns of the Progress and has kindly donated them for our use. These articles cover the social "goings-on" of O'Fallon residents from the early 1900s, and as Cindy has so correctly observed - the folks in O'Fallon sure were a social bunch!
